Stated by Sam Palmisano , chairman of IBM ,All IBMers apart from top executives will receive $1000 worth shares to Make its 100 Yr Celebration Colorful.IBM have 1,28,000 staff in India, who will be eligible for this Incentive.Those employees who are on IBM Roll as of December 31, 2010 are eligible for the Special Incentive [Both Full Timers and Part Timers].
Company Also Offers Restrictive Stock Unit (RSU), an Agreement under which the IBMers will be Promised returns on the Stocks without being owning them.
Another Criteria Put By IBM is, Since The Stock Incentives of $1000 will not Vest until 2015, Anybody quitting the Company before June 16 , 2015 will not Be Eligible for the Same.This move by IBM have now Forcing Other Companies also to Give Incentives to Employees to Retain them.
